Forsythe Falls at the end of the marvelous Waterfall Trail near Nederland, Colorado. This Defenders of Wildlife honorable mention winning photograph was featured on the back cover of the summer 2015 issue of Defenders magazine.

Sadly, this gorgeous canyon is endangered by the planned expansion of Gross Reservoir, a gazillion dollar government boondoggle that steals water from the west to keep lawns green in Denver. It will be one of the largest construction projects in the history of the state of Colorado, and the largest and most expensive in the history of Boulder County. Water conservation would be far more effective, far less costly, and would have the added benefit of saving precious mountain scenery like this well-known Boulder County landmark.
