Untitled.

The amazing variety and intensity of colors in autumn’s wild grass never ceases to amaze me. The yellow and red backgrounds come from nearby wild geranium leaves turning yellow and red at the same time. The combination is a near explosion of rainbow colors.

As with all of my wild grass photographs, the scene as you see it here is identical to what I see in the viewfinder of the camera. I have added nothing, and I have taken nothing away.

You can read more details about my natural wild grass photographs (i.e., not photoshopped) at A Lawnmower Subversive.
